One thing I did notice… real estate marketing like any other marketing requires certain skills and expertise. This is particularly the case when addressing the public through video or using a video promotions kit.
There are certain aspects of public speaking, even when using a video kit that one must master in order to get their message across effectively.
Here are just a few pointers you can use when developing your marketing message, whether addressing a small crowd or a large one.
- Know who your target audience is and who will be listening to your message so you can target and create a message that meets the needs of the target audience more effectively.
- Know the material you plan to present so you are comfortable with it. The less comfortable you are with the material the more likely you are to be nervous.
- Relax when speaking. Remember when creating a video message you can always rewind and restart from the beginning.
- Take some time to practice ahead of time and visualize delivering the perfect message.
- Don’t apologize for mistakes you make. Simply laugh them off. This will help your audience recognize that you, like them, are only human and will help create a bond between you and the audience.
- Concentrate on the information you need to deliver to the audience rather than the medium you are using to deliver the message (like a video production tool or the television). This will help you appear more focused while delivering your message.
